Support Station Instructions for the Pivot Position

The Support Station offers an opportunity for providing hygiene care in an upright position. Important: User's weight must not exceed 250 lbs.

WARNING: To prevent falls or injury, do not adjust the height or angle of the trunk board with a client on it. Adult supervision is required at all times. The support strap is not a substitute for close caregiver supervision.

Support Station in the Pivot Position

1. Adjust Trunk Board Height

Adjust the height of trunk board using the lower pair of black handles on the Support Station frame. The front edge of trunk board should be at mid-sternum level.

2. Adjust Trunk Board Angle

Adjust the trunk board angle using the upper handles. In order for the trunk board to pivot, it must be horizontal.

3. Transition to Support Station

Assist the user to a supported standing position. Secure him or her with the safety belt.

4. Pivot to Toilet

Press down on the pivot latch handle, allowing the trunk board to rotate, and help the user pivot until they are in front of the toilet.

5. Transition to Toilet

Adjust clothing, then release the safety belt and assist the user to a seated position on the toilet.
