Product Cleaning Instructions

Bucket, detergents, disinfectant, gloves and scrub brushes for cleaningGeneral

All of our products are tested to withstand a 10% bleach solution. Because of this, we expect that most commercial disinfectants can be used on our equipment without harming it. However, it is always best to test a small area first. The bleach dilution recommended by the CDC for disinfectant cleaning is around 3%. Clorox wipes should be fine. Alcohol-based cleaners should be fine too.

As a rule of thumb, don’t get too much water or cleaning agent into nooks and crannies to prevent corrosion of hardware, etc. To avoid getting the foam inside the padding wet, wipe but do not immerse.

Pacer

As needed, clean with disinfectant wipes or bleach solution. Do not use excessive amounts of water. The straps with hook and loop closures may be laundered. Engage the closures before washing. Do not iron. Wash casters with water after outdoor use. Avoid mud and sand.

Activity Chair

Colored pads can be unsnapped for cleaning, to make it easier to wipe behind and around them.

After each use, clean with disinfectant wipes or bleach solution. Do not use excessive amounts of water. The upholstery should be cleaned in the same manner. You may use a commercial cleaning agent suitable for imitation leather. The harnesses and padded straps should also be wiped down. Do not machine wash. The sandal straps with hook and loop closures may be laundered. Engage the closures before washing. Do not iron.

HTS (Hygiene & Toileting System)

Remove the foam pads for cleaning with soapy water or a mild disinfectant.

After each use, clean with disinfectant wipes or bleach solution. The straps with buckles may be laundered. Engage the buckles before washing. Do not iron. The polyethylene pads are easy to remove to allow cleaning and drying underneath. Wipe pads clean with soapy water or mild disinfectant. HTS pads can be immersed in water (an exception to the general rule above), and smaller pads can be machine washed on a warm setting as needed.

Wave Bath Chair

The Rifton bathing system is designed for easy cleaning. Remove the fabric cover by adjusting both the seat and back to a near vertical position and pulling cover from frame, seat part first. Fabric parts should be washed and dried at a warm (100°F/40°C) setting. Use mild detergent. Rinse well.

The straps with hook and loop closures may be laundered. Engage the closures before washing. Do not iron. Excessive use of bleach and high temperatures may damage the fabric.

Disinfect frame and fabric with a commercial disinfectant or bleach solution. Rinse well.

Tub stand, shower stand, tub transfer base and frame parts may be cleaned using normal cleaning products. Casters will give the best performance if cleaned regularly by spraying from underneath with a high-pressure water hose. Do not use chemicals or lubricants.

Tricycle

As needed, clean Trike with disinfectant wipes or bleach solution. Do not use excessive amounts of water. The straps with hook and loop closures may be laundered. Engage the closures before washing. Do not iron.

TRAM
