Functional Positioning of the Pacer Arm Prompts

An Instructional Video

March 22, 2021 by Elena Noble, MPT

For the child or adult with disabilities, upright, self-guided mobility opens up new environments for exploration, learning and participation, with side benefits of physical strength gains and range of motion improvements. Because of this, achieving independence in ambulation is a frequently pursued and practiced therapy goal.

In a new video series, Rifton will present positioning tips and guidance for the different features of the Pacer gait trainer. Please join Cathy Ripmaster, MS, PT in this segment as she discusses optimal placement of the arm prompts on the gait trainer, drawing on her years of experience positioning learners with a variety of presentations and unique physical needs.
