Narrator: The Rifton TRAM is a transfer and mobility device designed for the safety, convenience and dignity of both patient and caregiver.

Visual: 360° shot of the TRAM

Narrator: Offering more utility for less cost, the TRAM seamlessly performs seated transfers and raises a patient for standing and even supported ambulation.

Visual: Clips demonstrate the transfer, sit-to-stand and supported ambulation capabilities of the TRAM

Narrator: Capable of lifting and transferring patients of varying abilities and body types, the TRAM features an innovative, patent-pending support system that secures the patient with a simple buckle. This enables the caregiver to quickly prepare the patient for a safe transfer. The carefully engineered, telescoping lift column gives the TRAM its low profile providing patients with the security and dignity of unobstructed eye contact with their caregivers and surroundings.

Visual: Demonstration of the three-stage lifting mechanism, with eye connectivity between client and caregiver without lift arm or sling obstruction

Narrator: With no under-body slings, the TRAM is ideal for toileting especially with patients who have some upper body tone. In the bathroom, patients are positioned a few inches above the toilet. By releasing the leg straps the patient’s feet can be gently lowered to the floor and clothing quickly adjusted for toileting. The lift is then lowered to allow the patient to sit comfortably on the toilet. Stabilized and secure in the TRAM, patients are afforded the dignity of private toileting.

Visual: A sequence of drawings demonstrating a typical toileting protocol using the Rifton TRAM

Narrator: The TRAM’s optional scale allows the caregiver to easily weigh a patient during transfer, as well as measure weight-bearing capability and progress.

Visual: Demonstration of a single caregiver weighing a client during a routine transfer.

Narrator: At just over seventy pounds, the TRAM’s compact, ultralight frame is maneuverable in small or confined areas, as well as easy to transport or store.

Visual: Demonstration of the TRAM being stored in a corner of a client's living room, taking up very minimal space.

Narrator: Quickly adoptable by multiple caregivers, the TRAM’s intelligent engineering significantly reduces back strain and stress — providing a smarter and safer environment for workers.

Visual: Demonstration of multiple care professionals using the Rifton TRAM. Footage of hand assembly and testing of the Rifton TRAM at Rifton’s factory in upstate New York.
