A special needs chair for children with disabilities, the wooden Rifton Toddler chair was designed to provide the basic seating features detailed below. You can also view optional accessories available with this chair.
Default
The Rifton Toddler chair is designed to encourage normal sitting posture in children with special needs.
Solid Construction
Its solid maple and hardwood laminate construction give the child using this special needs chair a feeling of boundary, stability and security.
Hip Strap
The hip strap prevents sacral sitting by positioning the child with special needs at the back of the chair, in correct spinal alignment for sitting. The hip strap is a positioning aid and should never be used for the purpose of restraint.
Chair Tips
Sound-dampening chair tips reduce the classroom noise level. The wide-angle legs provide a broad, stable base.
Calfrest
The calfrest swings out and locks at the angle required by the type of sitting activity the user is performing in the chair.
Footrest
Two wooden footrests - one for each foot - adjust vertically and pivot out of the way for easy transfer of the child with special needs onto the chair.
